Who we are

Rate My Body (rate-my-body.com) is operated by Liberty Technology OÜ, a private limited company registered in Estonia ("we", "us", "the Company"). These Terms are a contract between you and the Company when you use the Service.

Eligibility

The Service is for adults only. By using it, you confirm you are at least 18 years old.

What the Service does

You upload photos of yourself. We check them for quality automatically, and, once you pay, our AI analyzes them to produce an aesthetics score, a tier, and a breakdown by muscle group. This is an automated estimate for entertainment and self-improvement purposes, not a medical, health, or fitness assessment, and not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.

Payment

Each report is a single payment of $5, processed by Stripe. There is no subscription and no recurring charge, and we never see or store your card details.

Checking your photos for quality is always free. You are only charged once your photos pass that check and you confirm payment. See Refunds below for what happens if the paid analysis itself cannot be completed.

The leaderboard

Joining the public leaderboard is entirely optional. If you opt in, only a nickname you choose, your score, and your tier are shown publicly, never your name, your email, or your photos. You can leave the leaderboard at any time from your report page, without affecting your report itself.

Acceptable use

Only upload photos of yourself, or of someone who has given you permission. Do not use the Service for anything unlawful, abusive, or intended to harm, harass, or impersonate anyone. We may refuse or remove content that violates this.

Not medical advice

The Service gives an automated aesthetic estimate only. It is not medical advice, a diagnosis, or a substitute for a doctor, dietitian, or qualified trainer. Talk to a professional before making decisions about your health, training, or nutrition.

Liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by Estonian and EU law, the Company is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory consumer law, including for intent or gross negligence.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. The version published on this page is the one in effect; continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia. If you are an EU consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your own country of residence may also apply, and you may bring a claim in your local courts or contact your local consumer authority.

Who is the controller

The data controller responsible for your personal data is Liberty Technology OÜ, based in Estonia. Reach us at support@rate-my-body.com for any privacy question or request.

What we collect

The photos you upload for analysis. If you join the leaderboard, the nickname you choose. If you ask us to recover a lost report link, the email address you give us for that one purpose. We also log basic technical data, such as your IP address, but only to prevent abuse of the recovery form.

There is no account. We do not collect your name, unless you happen to put it in a nickname yourself.

How we use it

To run the automated quality check and, once you pay, the AI analysis that produces your report; to process your payment through Stripe; to email you your report link and, on request, recover a lost one; and to operate the optional public leaderboard if you join it.

Legal bases for processing

We process your photos and payment to perform the contract you enter into when you pay for a report (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Where you opt into the leaderboard or ask us to recover a report link, we rely on your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time. We rely on our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) to prevent abuse of the recovery form.

AI processing

Your photos are analyzed by AI providers such as Google Gemini to produce your score, tier, and muscle breakdown. This is automated processing; no one reviews your photos by hand before a report is generated. You can contact us to ask about a decision made this way.

Who we share data with

We share data only with the providers needed to run the Service: Stripe for payment, our AI provider(s) (such as Google Gemini) for photo analysis, an email provider to send your report link, and a cloud storage provider to hold your photos before they are analyzed and deleted. None of them may use your data for their own purposes, and we never sell your data.

How long we keep it

Photos are automatically deleted 30 days after your analysis completes, whether or not you keep the report. The report itself (your score, tier, and breakdown, not your photos) is kept until you delete it yourself from the report page.

An email address you give us to recover a report link is used only to send that one email and is not kept for anything else.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you can ask to access your data (your report page already shows everything we hold about you, and you can also email us), have inaccurate data corrected (since a report reflects one specific set of photos, correcting it means paying for a new one rather than editing the old report), erase your data (delete your report and photos yourself at any time from the report page, or email us if you cannot reach it), and object to or restrict certain processing. Email support@rate-my-body.com to exercise any of these.

Cookies and tracking

rate-my-body.com does not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies. Stripe may set cookies during checkout that are strictly necessary to process your payment securely.

Children's privacy

The Service is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this policy as the Service changes. The version published on this page is the one in effect.

Supervisory authority

If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon), or to the data protection authority in your own EU country of residence.

The quality check is free

Checking your photos for quality is always free. You are not charged until your photos pass the check and you confirm payment.

Automatic refunds

If our AI analysis cannot complete on your photos after you have paid, you are refunded automatically and in full, with nothing for you to do. We also send you an email confirming it.

Other refund requests

Outside of a failed analysis, refunds are handled case by case as a goodwill gesture. Email support@rate-my-body.com with your report link, or the email address you paid with, and we will take a look.

How a refund arrives

Refunds are returned to the original payment method through Stripe and usually appear within a few business days.
